Aloha!

Summer has been going faster this year..... Why the time flies when I am having fun?
I had a relaxing week under the palm trees with my family.
Actually we were busy while we were on vacation.
We rode a jet ski and went down to the ocean with a big tank( scuba diving wasn't a best thing for me though....) and snorkeling around the reef.
I used to enjoy snorkeling but after trying to learn scuba diving I got scared of ocean.....
But good foods made me feel better after all :)
I always thought that living in any island of Hawaii would be nice.
I would feel the warm breeze from the ocean while I create things.....
Someone in the island contacted me and she said she is a quilter!
I couldn't meet her since she and I were in different islands and I was on vacation with my family.
But it was a wonderful surprise to be connected with a person who has interest in bojagi!
She was interested in moshi fabric so I will send her some samples soon.
And I hope to meet her in person when she comes over to the bay area for the quilt show in October.

올여름은 참 빨리도 지나갔습니다..... 즐거운 시간은 더욱 더 빨리지나가나봅니다.
가족과 함께 야자수 그늘 아래서 즐거운 한 주를 보내고 돌아왔어요.
여유롭게 즐겼다기보다는 바삐 움직였다고 해야겠지요.
제트 스키를 타며 물살을 가르고 스쿠버다이빙을 배우느라 무거운 산소통을 등에 지고 물속으로 뛰어 들고 했으니 말입니다 (스쿠버 다이빙은 좀 무리였어요. 겁이 많이 나더라구요....)
지난번에 갔을때 만 해도 스노클링이 즐겁더니 스쿠버다이빙 다음날에는 이마저도 무섭게 느껴져서 이젠 큰일입니다.....
그래도 맛난 음식먹으러 다니면서 스스로를  위로했지요 ㅎㅎ
이 한가로운 섬에서 따스한 바닷바람을 느끼며 창작의 즐거움에 빠지면 얼마나 좋을까 하고 섬에서의 일상을 꿈꾸어 봅니다.
그런데 이미 그런 삶을 살고 있는 퀼트 작가가 연락을 해왔네요!
보자기와 모시에 관심이 많다고 합니다. 그래서 집에 돌아오면 모시샘플을 보내주겠노라고 했지요. 서로 다른 섬에 있어서 만나진 못했지만 같은 관심사로 이렇게 누군가를 만나게 되는 건 정말 기분좋은 놀라움이지요!
10월에 베이지역 퀼트쇼에 온다니 그때 만나볼 수 있겠지요.
